the difference is that the MTB has more grip and slightly bigger wheels, good for things such as climbing up tricky ramps. hope that answers the question. 10  out of 13 found this valuable. Do you?

the bmx spins faster when doing flips. and moves faster then the mtb... so if you need speed for a jump. use the BMX! 9  out of 12 found this valuable. Do you?

"jy1235689 at your service!"

the mountain bike is easier to control and has a wider wheel base. the BMX bike is faster and is easier to spin, but is much harder to control than the mountain bike

BMX has got tiny wheels but is good fun, Mountain Bike has got big wheels but ain't very cool - if you want best of both worlds go and buy a 22inch Zeitgeist BMX - sweet 3  out of 5 found this valuable. Do you?

The main difference is that the Mountain Bike has a better spring system. That's why they call it a Mountain Bike, it's better to use when playing off-road tracks. 3  out of 3 found this valuable. Do you?

the difference is that the mountain bike has wheel shock and its bigger(better for rough ground)
the BMX is more for getting air and tricks can flip faster but a bit harder to land.
